At
the very end of Agate Terrace, surrounded by virgin forests, unspoiled
mountains and empty beaches lies Gecko's Place.
Lovingly renovated and restored, this lovely cottage is suitable for a couple, perhaps with one child. With its own private veranda, overlooking the tropical garden, Gecko's Place is a wonderful, peaceful spot where one can simply relax and let the rest of the World continue on its way We also have three caravans and camp sites, providing travellers with a number of affordable options. The camp sites and caravans (one with a fridge) have electricity and there is a comfortable ablution block. Perfectly positioned for your guided tours to Poenskop, Mboktyi and the Grosvenor shipwreck site, Gecko's Place offers you a safe base from where you can explore Pondoland and the Wild Coast. Walk into indigenous forests, climb Mount Sullivan or find the spring that supplies us with our water. Take your bike for a run up to Poenskop, take your kite out onto the Long Beach or simply take a walk southwards down to Port St Johns and catch the free ferry across the Umzimvubu River into town. Please phone Jackie and Louie on 047 564 1237 or email fegen@netactive.co.za for more information. |
